Well, I never thought we could survive two straight weeks of inside recess, but we did! :-) The Pet Show today was a little bit wild, but a lot of fun. Parents, thank you so much for bringing or sending your pets. We learned a lot this week about pets and how to take care of them. We talked about what animals make good pets and which ones don't. We had our Pet Show Awards Ceremony right before lunch. The children are showing off their ribbons below.
In Language we worked on the letters Tt and Ee and the sounds they make. In Math we worked on Chapter 6, "Numbers 6-10".
Looking Ahead
Next week our unit will be Fire Safety. We will have a visit from the Oxford Fire Department on Friday. Our letters will be Yy and Oo. In Math we will complete chapter 5, "Numbers 6-10".
Our Cooking Show item next week will be edible fire trucks. We will need mini Oreos and gumdrops. If you'd like to send an item we would appreciate it. :-)
Pumpkin Patch Field Trip money is due on Wednesday, October 7th. Thank you to those of you that have already sent it.

Thanks to Mary's mom and godfather for coming to read to the class this week in celebration of her Star Student weeks. Also thanks for the sweet treats they brought.
