Merry Christmas!

We bid farewell to Mrs. Carolyn by presenting her with a book we had written about all the things we love about her.  It was so sweet to hear her read it to the children.  

Here we are modeling our cool glasses from Grayson's mom.  Joining us in the picture are First Grade and a sneaky Fifth Grader.

Our Party started right after PE.  First up:  Candy Cane Drop!

Then, Candy Cane Fishing.  Thanks to Rivers's Grandmother for all the candy canes.

Rudolph Relay was next.

The children greased up their noses with Vaseline, then used that to pick up a pom pom, run it across the room, and transfer it to a portrait of Rudolph.

The Cookie Face game was next.  The students tried to wiggle a cookie down their forehead, into their mouths.

Christmas Time's A-Coming!

We are knee-deep in Christmas projects this week.  Here's a sneak peek of something else we've been working on.

Flying Reindeer?!

Have you seen a cuter class?? I needed to take a picture of all the students in the school so we were the first ones out there.  They were sweet enough to let me practice on them.

Later, we made funky little reindeer out of paper towel tubes, pipe cleaners, and bottle caps.  

We took them outside to see if we could make they fly.

We tied our yarn to every available spot on the playground.

It didn't take long for them to figure out that the reindeer would fly faster if the starting point was raised.

On Friday afternoons, we watch a movie after lunch.  The children always love to take off their shoes, but the rule is they have to be neatly lined up by the bookshelf.  Have you seen a neater line?  :-)
