The children shined on stage today as they performed for our school and families. It's hard to believe the school year is so close to being over. This time of year is so bittersweet for a teacher. You've had all year to watch them learn and grow and and you know they are ready to move on, but you can't help but become attached to them.
Last Wednesday we welcomed two aquatic slider turtles, named Dantes and Babycakes. A college student was moving and could not take them with him. The turtles are so fun to watch.

After we sang to our moms at the treehouse, we served them a snack in the room and presented them with special gifts we had made.

Our version of a Mexican hat dance was fun, but ended up looking a little more Russian. The children loved it all the same!
