Max's grandfather, Ed, came to read to the children on Wednesday.

Max's sister, Emma Hayes, a Senior K Graduate, came to read to the class on Thursday.

 Visiting Author

Author/Illustrator Brian Biggs spoke to the children about writing books and finding inspiration from  everyday things around him.  OUS is the only school in Oxford he visited.  The children really enjoyed his talk.

Max's Mom came on Thursday to read to the class and she brought us Popsicles.

Max's family friend, Josh, came to read on Friday.

Max's Aunt Rachel came on Tuesday to read to us and she brought donut holes, our favorites, in celebration of Max's Star Student weeks.

We welcomed Jon Reese into our class on Tuesday.

Mac's Great Uncle Raymond brought us frisbees and slap bracelets and read us a Captain Underpants book.

We tested our frisbees to make sure they worked.  :-)

Colton's mom and grandmother brought us a special hot dog snack to celebrate  an "Off the Chart" milestone.

A Peek At This Week

We made a race track for our cars.

Then we added blocks.

Colton brought ten pounds of cars!

To prepare for our "Surface Safari", the children had to draw their cars .

As a culminating activity to our Transportation Unit, we made Edible Traffic Lights.
