Wow! What fun we've had this week with all of our great speakers!!
Thanks so much to everyone who helped make this week possible.
The children loved having so many special guests come to our class and tell us about their jobs. The number one question was, "How long did you have to go to school?" Number two was, "How long have you been a (fill in occupation here)?"
Our very first speaker was Davis's dad, Todd who talked to the children about being a radiologist. He showed them lots of cool x-rays and told them about bones in the human body.
Chance's mom, Celia came to talk to us about being a nurseand all the ways we can help keep from getting sick.
Sadie Grace's mom, Amy talked to us about being a Labor and Delivery nurse
and lots of neat jobs that nurses have.

Sadie Grace was a great helper.

Sharp's aunt Whitney came on Thursday and spoke to the children about being a veterinarian. She showed them neat x-rays of cats and dogs that had swallowed odd things like bottle caps and screws. Jessie the Blue Heeler and Newman the cat stole the show. She showed them how to listen to the dog's heartbeat.

Jack's dad, Carl told the children about being an FBI Agent and demonstrated handcuffs on Jack.
Thanks for the pencils and badges. :-)
Anna's dad, Corey spoke to the children about being an architect
and how you should try to find a job that you love.

Lyla's dad, Mike told the children about being a dentist and all the things you should do to have healthy teeth. Cheese is good!
Thanks to Mike for all the cool bags of goodies he brought.

Anna Kate's mom came and talked to us about framing pictures and helped us matt a little fall tree that we had painted.
Aren't our trees gorgeous?
Thanks for all the sweet treats this week: Wedding cupcakes from Emory on Monday, Birthday cupcakes from Saylie Parker on Tuesday, X cookies on Thursday for Davis's star student weeks, and a Birthday cookie cake on Friday from Sharp's family. Sharp and I had a great birthday on Friday. Parents, thank you so much for the generous gift cards. I'm having so much fun trying to decide what to buy. :-)
